Final Thoughts

It was a great walk, even though it was less than two thirds of the complete Pennine Way, I feel that I experienced the best part of the walk. The PW is often compared to the C2C; which is “better”, which is “harder”? But they are really two completely different walks, equally scenic and interesting in their own way. One big difference is the large amount of stone slabbing over the boggy moors of the PW, both a blessing and a curse, allowing a more expedient traverse but the pounding is extremely hard on the feet. My one regret is not protecting my camera more adequately from moisture, resulting in a short, damage to the digital card and loss of my photos. But the memories and images will stay with me regardless.
